“Episode” is the title of a series of group exhibitions at Mohsen Gallery that, irrespective of whether or not they have a common theme or medium, feature the works of young, emerging artists that have not been given the opportunity to show their works on the contemporary art scene. Furthermore, these exhibitions are a versatile showcase that represent the narrative approach of a new generation and their unique visual concerns. Therefore, the audience of these exhibitions are mainly students, art collectors, and curators. “Episode” is held twice a year, in the summer and winter. The artists of the seventh edition of the series are Shana Abdollahian, Nafise Dehghani, Bahar Didegah, Hanie Farhadi Nik, Atena Fereydouni, Neda Ghayouri Moteasseb, Reza Ghazavi, Mahdieh Kavakebpanah, Yasaman Khaleghi, Sahar Kheitan, Somaiyeh Khodaei, Delaram Marouf, Parham Peyvandi, Tara Shoeyb, Mohaddeseh Taheri and Azin Zolfaghari.Like a kaleidoscope, “Episode 07” reflects the distorted and sleepy septa of a young generation. When the frames sit next to each other, their language seems disparate and their expression seems heterogeneous; yet, time seems to be lost in every one of them. Portraits are forlorn and foreworn. Still lifes are pale and tongue-tied. Ancestors are back, closed in a brilliant, dreamy robes. Mysterious landscapes do not leave us alone and life has not penetrated in them. “Episode 07” is a distorted kaleidoscope.
