Hanie Farhadi Nik

Hanie Farhadi Nik (b. 1987, Tehran, Iran) has received her BFA in Painting from Islamic Azad University and her MFA in Painting from the Tehran University of Art. Presence in nature is the main theme of Hanie’s works, which she depicts with her personal color palette. She has held one solo show and her work has been included in several group shows, namely “Episode 07” and “Episode 09”in Mohsen Gallery. Hanie Farhadi Nik lives and works in Tehran.

The flow that matters in each frame is the moment with which humans encounter, and in that significant moment, they wipe redundant memories out from their minds, which leads to mindlessness. This is where presence comes into being. Each presence comes from a kind of threat and the fear of a horrible event. Without that threat, the mind would carry on with its activity with no perception of the moment. My attempt has been to portray the very presence.
