“Rajaee Shahr”
In the midst of the city in which I have been living for years, I chose to paint one neighborhood that I later realized is overlooking a certain place: an old prison that affected its surrounding area. It changed my mentality and the way I looked at that area and consequently influenced my paintings. The “Rajaee Shahr” series is an attempt to understand and represent the district I am living in.
