More than being caused by hardship or affliction, being stricken results from the collision of two impossible and inhomogeneous phenomena. Friction between two rough surfaces is created by an encounter between the self and the other, the outcome of which is quite predictable from the outset: being stricken by self-destruction, which inevitably opens the door to inexistence, decline, and nothingness…

The series is an attempt to make this encounter happen, seeking to offer the possibility of an intersection between the audience and the work, a final regulation, and ultimately, to experience with what the work and the owner of the work has been stricken.
