Nakhoda Abdolrasoul Gharibi

Nakhoda Abdolrasool Gharibi (b.1955, Bushehr, Iran) was born into a religious family of fishermen. He was nurtured near the coast of Jofreh Port, amid the roar of sea waves breaking on the land. After his retirement in 2018, he started painting by coincidence and out of instinct. His works were put on public display for the first time in January 2020 in Outsider Inn Gallery. In 2020, his stories were published under the title “The Seaside Coffeehouse.” He currently lives and works in Bushehr. (His body of works, according to Outsider Art, is categorized as naive art).
