Death is the Ultimate Orgasm

Mojtaba Amini

I made these two works during my stay in Seoul.
“Death Is the Highest Orgasm” was inspired by “Comfort Woman Statues” erected in the city of Seoul; lonely women sitting on chairs, to whom people bring flower every day to commemorate their pain. Also called “The Statue of Peace,” these are symbols for more than two thousand victims of sexual slavery, known as “comfort women,” by the Japanese imperial military during World War II . The people of North Korea want the Japanese government to officially apologize, which the Japanese has refused to do. People have erected one of these statues in front of the Embassy of Japan in Seoul, south Korea.
