Alikhan Abdollahi (b. 1963, Bamyan, Afghanistan) moved to Tehran about 30 years ago and resided in a building as a caretaker; the place where he started working initially as a mason. His encounter with Hasan Hazer Moshar in the early 2000s, attracted his interest towards Papier-mâché sculptures. Hassan, the master, taught him the technique and ever since, he has been engaged in it. Alikhan lives and works in Tehran.
