“Comedy”

“The purpose of comedy is to correct the vices of men.” —Moliere

The two sequential drawings titled “Red” and “Yellow” from the “Comedy” series, are meant to depict two frames of a narrative. The series is created to bring to attention the phases of a crisis and portray the line between sorrow and contentment. “Red,” is based on the narrative of an awkward situation of which there is no way out and “Yellow” depicts the hidden cause for the crisis. The two works, through a psychological perspective and “quasi-naturalistic” approach, highlight the mutual effect between cause and effect in causality.
