Davood Koochaki (1939-2020, Rasht, Iran) aka “the pencil man” is one of the most prominent Iranian outsider artists in the international arena, whose works are now maintained in numerous museums as well as credible public and private collections, most important of which are the Collection de l’Art Brut in Lausanne and American Folk Art Museum. (His body of works, according to the Outsider Art categories, is defined as Pure Outsider Art).
