Tara Shoeyb (b. 1984, Tehran, Iran) has received her BFA in Painting from Tehran Islamic Azad University. Her work has been included in several group shows namely, “Episode 07” in Mohsen Gallery. Shoeyb lives and works in Tehran.

“Meeting on the Other Side”

To me, painting is sometimes just observation and sometimes sharing the trial and error I experience along the way. Despite my interest in living in nature, I grew up in an urban environment, which is why nature in my work is more the result of subjective observations than objective and real observations. In a way, it is a mixture of reality, fantasy, and delusion. The confrontation and interaction that exists between man and nature is important to me because of the awareness and consciousness that is current between them, and because both are always experiencing loss, this interaction is present in my paintings with constant change or abandonment.
