“The Banished”

In all the corners of urban societies, and because of the presence of humans, we are witnessing hunger, disease, torture, persecution, and displacement of animals in a large scale, despite the fact that the history of the coexistence of humans and animals go back to the time that they were created, and that human beings have always benefited from animals. In this series, I am trying to create image, through the mysterious and ambiguous quality of which I can represent the anxious unconscious of animals. By transforming and manipulating the images and with a psychological approach, I try to avoid clichés and superficiality. The images are the result of my mental and emotional state, presented in the framework of photographic semiotics, concerning the bitter and dark lives of these animals, which is caused by the humans’ unhealthy behavior.
