The Completeness of The Forms of The Real

Jakob Buchner

The shown artworks deal with generating and visualizing (a) universe/space, as an undefined something . Wherein my focus rather lies on finding (in aspeculative manner) than on intentional searching . Inspired by the covering material of spacecrafts in outer space, I use golden foil for # 1 (the completeness of the forms of the real) that is cut in patterns . Casually, I color them black so that only shiny dots remain . With this cut patterns I abstractly denote an perspective-constructed situation that functions as the artwork’s boundaries which open a field of random play . In my artwork # 2 (the completeness of the forms of the real) I designed a font, its letters appear as a combination of spots resembling a starry sky . I underline my interest to generate an interplay of given system and optional order and variably arrange the letters in a string . A complex character happens in a first view, at a closer look, it can be decoded as an algorithmic ensemble . From a painters view, in # 3 (the completeness of the forms of the real) I work with different-colored transparent foils, overlaid to construct an empty black space . Symbol-like items without any meaning spread in its defined patterns, similar to atoms in their orbitals. During the cutting process I shift the different layers which create a distortion and delay of colors . In the exhibition I combine these three approaches to emphasize my notion of nature in generating an open something …..
