Uprooted

Gohar Dashti

Gohar Dashti’s “Uprooted” series is about invasive plants that are taken out of Iranian soil and shot in the studio. These suspended roots that are separated from the soil, like immigrants separated from their homeland, seek a new context in a nature to which they do not belong.
