As I observe my surroundings with no apparent rhyme or reason, I tend to choose things that engage my interest even for a moment: from human figures to inanimate objects. There is something about them or their disposition that is inviting. I might reflect on relationships that I easily overlook. I might figure them out one day or I may never be able to realize their sensitivity at all. These sensations are at times complex, but I nonetheless seek to express them in a simple language with a limited medium such as painting.
