Ali Phi

Ali Phi (b. 1987, Tehran, Iran) is a multidisciplinary artist who employs technology and science in his works. The flow of his works is based on programing, generative audiovisual design, interactive media, and immersive site-specific, which depict the relation between geometry, science, light, literature and their transformations in the digital world and interaction with humans. Exploring rituals and roots in art, culture, architecture and the humans’ subjective reality have affected his creations. Ali has been awarded multiple prizes and grants, namely the Canada Council for the Arts, Ontario Arts Council, Toronto Arts Council, and Photon Foundation Poland. He has performed and exhibited in Ars Electronica, Mutek, Tasmeem Doha, Patchlab, TADAEX, Tehran Architecture Biennial and the Ontario Science Centre, in Iran, Canada, the USA, Germany, Austria, Poland, Qatar, and the UAE. Ali Phi lives and works in Toronto.
