The first image of the series “Embrace 1” is the photo I took from my brother and his partner in a beautiful sunny day outside of the city, in Lar National Park, which is about a two hour drive from Tehran. They were dating for a month. I asked them to hug each other to take some shots. I Loved the results and this motivated me to create the series. I asked other couples to hug in different locations. I tried to achieve a romantic moment: to show love everywhere in a simple act of embrace. I did not tell them how to act. I wanted them to be relaxed and natural. My main concern was to cover up their face in a natural way and to put emphasis on the act itself, which represented love with minimum symbolism. My “Embraces” portray love, which is a rare thing these days. The series is a reflection of my imagination. They are like a memorial for love. I believe that we should always love. If everyone had someone to love, the world would be in peace.
