Farshido Larimian

Born in1983, Farshid Larimian (Farshido) is an Iranian artist with an engineering background, living in Vienna, studying doctoral studies and working as Lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, Austria. Farshido’s works has recently been exhibited at Fronfeste Museum Austria in Von hier. Und dort (2016) and MOMA in the 3rd Moscow International Biennale for Young Art, Russia (2012), Wem die Stunde schlägt in L.A. Documentation Centre for Modern Art St. Pölten, AT (2011). His works include collections in MOCA Krakow, Poland, SPM Museum Dubai Fronfeste Museum Austria and I’Atelier Camelia, UAE. He also worked with Carbon12 Dubai and exhibited in Division by Zero 2011 and through this Gallery in Viennafair 2012 and through Shirin Gallery NY in SCOPE Miami Beach and Viennafair in 2013 and 2014. His first solo exhibition at Mohsen gallery tehran was in 2015 titled Hidden in the metaphor of objects. Allusive moment in Mim gallery Los angeles is one of his group exhibitions in 2016. His works is also included in Kurier-Extra Austria, issue April 2015, and Contemporary Practices vol.10 2012, articles “Wind from the east and Into the Vision of Farshido”. In 2014 his Award design was selected for the statue of Wiener Mut Prize in Austria and the Austrian national public service-broadcaster, ORF2, made and published a portrait of him and his artistic works in 19. October 2014, 19:00 Program Vienna Today. Farshido in June 2016 graduated with Master study of Fine arts with distinction from Academy of Fine arts Vienna with O. Univ. Prof. Gunter Damisch and received the honorary prize for fine arts for the Outstanding thesis; Pocket Memories, from the Academy.
