Amir-Hossein Bayani

Gallery Artist

Amirhossein Bayani (b. 1977, Tehran, Iran) is an artist, curator, and university professor. He received his BFA in Painting from the Tehran University of Art in 2004, and his MFA in Art Research from the Faculty of Art and Architecture of the Islamic Azad University in 2008. He is a member of the Iranian Painters Society (IPS), the founder and art director of MERXOUT Projects and Tehran Art Group. As a curator, he has held several projects since 2010, including “Midday,” Mohsen Gallery, 2017 and “Salvation, Gaza,” Niavaran Complex, 2014. Bayani’s works have been exhibited in five solo shows including “Out of Context,” Ars Libri Ltd., Boston, USA, 2018 and Mohsen Gallery, Tehran, 2016; “Babylon System,” Mohsen Gallery, 2013; “What Happened to the Women in Shahnameh?” Mohsen Gallery, 2010; and “Eyes Wide Shot,” Azad Art Gallery, 2006. Bayani has also participated in more than 20 domestic and international group exhibitions and art fairs. He lives and works in Tehran.
